Two young girls have their own gay Barbie doll wedding with Geri Halliwell as the celebrant, and it just might be one of the cutest things you’ll ever see.
Danielle Shoffman shared the incredible photos of her daughters Barbie doll gay marriage to a Facebook group for families to share activities in confinement.
“We had some sad news the other day, so to cheer us up my two daughters decided to have fun by having a gay Barbie wedding, which I helped photograph!” wrote Shoffman.
The proud mom said she had the privilege of raising her daughters in “a very diverse family” with multiple same-sex couples.
“I love to see how their understanding of the world is reflected in their game and that they know that ultimately love is love,” added Shoffman.
The family created their own Barbie wedding day photoshoot, and it’s gorgeous from start to finish.
The amazing photoshoot perfectly recreates an actual wedding day and is full of flowers and artfully taken photos of their dresses.
The family took photos of the Barbie dolls putting on makeup before their big day – and Spice Girls singer Geri Halliwell even took part in the action as the doll wedding ceremony celebrant.
The photoshoot ends in the best possible way – with the Barbie dolls driving off at sunset with a “Just Married” sign in the back of their car.
I love to see how their understanding of the world is reflected in their playing and that they know that ultimately love is love.
Shoffman’s post has been liked over 14,000 times on Facebook – and the girls were inundated with praise in the comments.
“I love that Geri Halliwell married them,” wrote a commentator called Keira.
Meanwhile, Bev praised the girls for doing something positive when there was “so much negativity around” and said they should be proud of themselves.
The girls’ parents were praised for raising them with pro-LGBT + values.
Another commentator, Ashton Rose, praised the girls’ parents for raising their children the right way.
“Thank you for the laughs and for reminding us all that there are families like this who make sure these values are known from an early age.
“This is how we can see real change in the world,” the commentator added.
Another member of the group called Michelle said, “Wouldn’t the world be a better place if all children were brought up with this level of understanding. Good work!”
A Facebook user called Heidi added, “These photos are better than my wedding photos! It’s just wonderful !”
